These Delivery & Installation Terms & Conditions apply to products and services supplied by Macarthur Fitness Equipment. Please read them carefully before placing your order or booking an installation.

Important: Standard Delivery & Installation Pricing

All delivery and installation charges displayed on our website are based on delivery and installation into a garage or an accessible room on a single ground-floor level.

Standard website pricing assumes:

  • Direct, safe and unobstructed ground-floor access
  • No stairs, steps or lifts
  • No steep or restricted driveways
  • No narrow doorways, hallways or access points
  • No unusually long carrying distances
  • Suitable nearby parking for the delivery vehicle
  • The installation area is cleared and ready before arrival

Delivery to an upper or lower level, including access involving stairs, steps or lifts, is not included in the delivery and installation charges displayed on our website.

If your property does not meet these standard access conditions, please contact Macarthur Fitness Equipment before placing your order. Additional charges may apply, and some products may not be suitable for delivery to the requested location.

1. Delivery Options

Delivery availability, pricing and estimated timeframes vary depending on the product, delivery address and level of service required.

Available services may include:

  • Standard courier or freight delivery
  • Local delivery
  • Ground-floor delivery
  • Delivery and installation
  • Commercial equipment delivery and installation
  • Customer pickup by prior arrangement

Delivery and installation charges displayed on our website or calculated at checkout apply only to a garage or accessible room on a single ground-floor level, unless otherwise expressly stated in writing.

Any quotation is based on the access information supplied by the customer. Additional charges may apply where access conditions or other requirements were not disclosed before delivery.

2. Delivery Timeframes

Any delivery date or timeframe provided is an estimate only. While we make every reasonable effort to meet estimated delivery times, delays may occur due to supplier availability, freight carrier delays, weather, traffic, access restrictions or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Where an order contains multiple products, the items may be delivered separately.

We will contact you when your order is ready to be scheduled or dispatched. Delivery and installation bookings are subject to product availability, installer availability and confirmation of the delivery address.

3. Customer Availability

The customer, or an authorised person aged 18 years or over, must be present at the delivery address during the agreed delivery window unless an authority to leave has been accepted.

If nobody is available to receive the delivery, or the delivery cannot be completed for reasons outside our control, a redelivery, storage or rebooking fee may apply.

Please ensure your contact details are correct and that you are available by phone on the day of delivery.

4. Access Requirements

Before placing an order, the customer must advise us of anything that may affect safe or reasonable access, including:

  • Stairs or steps of any number
  • Upper-level or lower-level rooms
  • Lift access
  • Narrow doorways, hallways or gates
  • Steep, uneven or restricted driveways
  • Apartment or building access requirements
  • Loading dock bookings
  • Parking restrictions
  • Long carrying distances
  • Low ceilings or tight corners
  • Soft, unfinished or easily damaged flooring
  • Any access that is not directly available from ground level

The customer is responsible for checking that both the packaged product and the assembled equipment will fit through all access points and into the intended room.

Website delivery and installation charges do not include upstairs, downstairs or lift-access delivery. These circumstances must be discussed and quoted separately before the order is placed.

Additional labour, delivery personnel or specialist handling equipment may be required. Additional charges will apply where these services can be provided.

If our delivery team arrives and finds access conditions that were not disclosed, the equipment may be installed in the garage or another suitable ground-floor location. If this is not possible, delivery may be postponed and redelivery, rebooking or additional labour charges may apply.

If our delivery team determines that access is unsafe or that delivery may cause injury or property damage, the service may be postponed or declined.

5. Preparing the Delivery Area

Before our team arrives, the customer must:

  • Clear the access route and installation area
  • Remove furniture, personal belongings and other obstructions
  • Ensure children and pets remain away from the work area
  • Confirm the intended location is suitable for the equipment
  • Arrange any required building, strata or loading dock access
  • Protect floors or walls where additional protection is desired

The final equipment location should be decided before installation begins. Moving equipment after it has been assembled may incur an additional charge and may not always be possible.

6. Installation Service

Where installation has been purchased, our service generally includes:

  • Delivery to a garage or accessible single-level ground-floor room
  • Unpacking the equipment
  • Assembly in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions
  • Positioning the equipment in the agreed location
  • Basic operational testing
  • Removal of packaging materials associated with the installation, where practical

Installation does not include electrical work, structural work, floor preparation, wall reinforcement, internet or Bluetooth setup, relocation of existing equipment, disposal of old equipment or fixing equipment to walls or floors unless specifically included in writing.

Some commercial or specialised equipment may require anchoring. The customer is responsible for confirming that the building structure, flooring and proposed installation location are suitable. Any required drilling or anchoring must be agreed upon before the installation date.

7. Power and Operating Requirements

The customer is responsible for providing a suitable and compliant power outlet where required. Extension leads and power boards should not be used unless permitted by the equipment manufacturer.

The customer must ensure the equipment is used in a suitable environment and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, including any requirements relating to ventilation, flooring, clearance, temperature and moisture.

8. Installation Location and Flooring

Fitness equipment must be installed on a level, stable and suitable surface. We may recommend protective gym flooring or an equipment mat to reduce movement, noise and potential damage.

Macarthur Fitness Equipment is not responsible for damage caused by unsuitable, uneven or insufficiently protected flooring, or by the movement of equipment after installation.

We do not guarantee that heavy fitness equipment will not leave marks, impressions or indentations on carpet, timber, vinyl or other flooring.

9. Inspection and Reporting Damage

Please inspect the packaging and equipment as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.

If there is visible damage at the time of delivery, note it on the delivery documentation where possible and take clear photographs before the packaging is removed or discarded.

Please contact Macarthur Fitness Equipment promptly and provide:

  • Your order number
  • A description of the issue
  • Photographs of the packaging
  • Photographs or video of the affected product
  • Details of any damage noted with the carrier

Do not assemble, use or dispose of a damaged product until we have provided further instructions, unless doing so is necessary to prevent further damage or ensure safety.

10. Failed or Incomplete Deliveries

A failed delivery, redelivery, rebooking or additional attendance fee may apply where:

  • Nobody is available to receive the order
  • Incorrect delivery details were supplied
  • Stairs, steps, lifts or other access restrictions were not disclosed
  • The installation area was not ready
  • Building or loading dock access had not been arranged
  • The delivery could not be completed safely
  • The customer requested a change after the delivery team had been dispatched

Where non-standard access was not disclosed, the delivery team is not required to carry the equipment beyond the garage or a suitable ground-floor location.

Any additional charges will be communicated before a new delivery or installation is arranged.

11. Changes and Cancellations

Please contact us as early as possible if you need to change or cancel a scheduled delivery or installation.

Changes made after an order has been dispatched, an installer has been allocated or a delivery run has been confirmed may incur reasonable costs. Special-order, custom, commercial and assembled products may also be subject to separate cancellation conditions.

12. Removal of Existing Equipment

Removal, relocation or disposal of existing fitness equipment is not included unless expressly stated in your order or quotation.

Where this service has been agreed upon, the equipment must be disconnected, accessible and safe to handle. Additional charges may apply if the equipment must be dismantled or requires specialist handling.

13. Risk and Responsibility

Responsibility for the goods passes to the customer upon delivery, except to the extent otherwise provided by law.

The customer is responsible for ensuring the selected product is suitable for the intended user, location and purpose. Equipment must be operated, maintained and serviced in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

14. Australian Consumer Law

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies available to you under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable legislation.

15. Contact Us Before Ordering

If your delivery involves stairs, steps, a lift, an upper or lower level, restricted access or a long carrying distance, please contact Macarthur Fitness Equipment before placing your order.

Providing photographs, measurements and access details will help us determine whether delivery is possible and provide an accurate quotation.

By purchasing a delivery or installation service, the customer acknowledges that they have read and accepted these Delivery & Installation Terms & Conditions, including the limitations applying to the delivery and installation charges displayed on our website.
